Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Leading Edge Cancun for?
Mental health and health-related professionals, including psychotherapists, counselors, marriage & family therapists, clinical and counseling psychologists, occupational therapists, psychiatric social workers, psychiatrists, pastoral counselors, and other therapists looking to sharpen their clinical skills.
Can I bring my partner, kids, or family?
Yes. Cancun 2027 is designed as a combined learning-and-vacation retreat. Traveling companions have access to daily excursions, resort activities, a supervised Explorer’s Club for younger kids, and a Core Zone Teens Club, while you attend your morning workshop.
Is it okay to attend alone?
Very common. The program builds in networking time — meals, organized activities, and downtime — so solo attendees regularly connect with peers and make plans with colleagues during the week.
Do I need to already be earning CE credits to attend, or can I just come for the experience?
Both are fine. The program is built for professionals who want CE credit toward licensure, but the retreat format (half-day workshops, rest of the day free) works equally well if you’re attending primarily for the experience and professional renewal.
